The awards are the Illuminating Engineers Society of North America (IESNA) British Columbia Section Award, the "Edwin F. Guth Award of Merit" for the Pacific Northwest Region for the IESNA, and the 2001 ADEX Platinum award for TIR's SSL Destiny Series - ColorBar.

The Strawberry Mansion Bridge lighting project in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, won the British Columbia IESNA Section Award for International Illumination Design at the regional level, and the "Edwin F. Guth Award of Merit" for the Pacific Northwest IESNA Region. This project now advances to IESNA international competition, where it will be up for the Waterbury Award of Excellence in Outdoor Lighting. TIR provided SSL colour changing luminaires and Light Pipe to delineate the arches of the bridge that spans the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia's Fairmont Park.

In addition TIR's SSL Destiny Series - ColorBar product won the 2001 Awards for Design Excellence (ADEX) Platinum award, the highest-level award achievable with ADEX. This is the largest most prestigious awards competition for products and accessories in the architectural and design industry. TIR's ColorBar is an architectural vertical wall element that can be used on the exterior of almost any commercial or corporate structure.
